Job description
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced network solutions that meet business requirements. This role requires deep expertise across enterprise networking technologies and the ability to manage complex network environments while supporting modernization and transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and manage Cisco DNA Center templates to support network automation and standardized deployments
- Design and implement network segmentation strategies to improve security and performance
- Lead network hardware modernization initiatives to ensure infrastructure alignment with current technologies
- Plan and execute routing and switching refresh initiatives
- Deploy and support Software Defined Wide Area Network solutions using Cisco and VeloCloud technologies
- Configure, manage, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls to protect network infrastructure
- Administer Infoblox solutions for DNS, DHCP, and IP address management
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide root cause analysis
- Collaborate with cross functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP or CCNA or equivalent experience
- Strong expertise with Cisco networking technologies including routes, switching, SD WAN, and network security
- Hands on experience with Cisco DNA Center for automation and template management
- Proficiency configuring and supporting Palo Alto firewalls
- Experience using Infoblox for DNS, DHCP, and IP address management
- Proven experience designing and implementing network segmentation strategies
- Demonstrated success modernizing network hardware and infrastructure
- Experience planning and executing routes and switch refresh projects
- In depth knowledge of SD WAN solutions including Cisco and VeloCloud
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Supporting geographically disperse areas working with telecom and local operations
- Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages such as Python
- Knowledge of network security best practices and implementation methodologies
