WE LOVE OUR WORK.

  • Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
  • Complete assigned side work; wipe down all counters, tables and clean service areas
  • Inspects all areas of responsibility for safety and maintenance needs and reports to leader as needed.
  • Mix alcoholic beverages according to Hollywood Casino standard.
  • Serve guests food and beverage, dining in and carrying out.
  • Input all food and beverages into MICROS system.
  • Understand and articulate food and beverage menus.
  • Promote Hollywood Casino food and beverage outlets and entertainment facilities.
  • Adhere to local laws regarding legal age of service.
  • Attend alcohol awareness seminars and adhere to all rules and regulations administered through ABC.
  • Maintains and ensures safety, sanitation, and presentable cleanliness for station, work area, and equipment used for preparation.
  • Keep bar and surrounding work area clean and organized.
  • Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; Reacts well under pressure; Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; Accepts responsibility for own actions; Follows through on commitments.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, as well as all levels of employees.
  • Must be able to distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change.
  • Must be able to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
  • Ability to move around food service area effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to carry food orders, stock supplies and bus tables.
  • Ability to maintain professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to department and company standards.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must successfully complete Alcohol Awareness training.
