Position Overview

The Enterprise Applications Specialist is responsible for supporting Hoffman Building Technology’s ERP needs and ensuring that solutions align with organizational goals. Acting as a bridge between business and technology, the Application Specialist enhances processes, analyzes data, provides product support, tests and successfully implements solutions. They collaborate closely with stakeholders, project teams, and developers to optimize business operations and drive efficiency, ensuring that all business objectives are met effectively.

This role will support two upcoming system implementations in 2026 and will be instrumental in ensuring application readiness, stability, and user adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, implementation, and maintenance of front office enterprise applications.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and ensure timely resolution of application-related problems.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of ERP and related systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related, software, user access, or other problems.
  • Maintain documentation of configurations and processes.
  • Work closely with IT, operations, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into solutions.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding and effective use of front office applications.
  • Assist in the testing and validation of new processes, reports or systems.
  • Support appropriate business initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Finance, or a related field or a combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related role.
  • Experience in construction industry required.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with limited supervision.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills with process improvement experience.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams.
  • Must be detailed and results oriented and able to stay on task.
  • Must be able to travel and occasionally stay overnight.

Preferred

  • Experience with systems such as Viewpoint or similar
  • Experience with reporting tools or SQL-based reporting
  • Experience / background in the construction industry

What Success Looks Like in This Role

Leading up to and through the 2026 implementations

  • Develops deep expertise in the systems being implemented and their integration points
  • Partners with the Project Manager and Business Analyst to support configuration, testing, and data readiness
  • Assists with system setup, user roles, security, and environment preparation
  • Supports User Acceptance Testing and identifies application-level issues early
  • Helps prepare documentation, training materials, and support plans in preparation for go-live

Immediately following go-lives

  • Serves as a primary support resource during stabilization periods
  • Resolves post-go-live issues quickly and effectively
  • Ensures users feel supported and confident in the new systems
  • Confirms configurations, permissions, and data integrity are correct

Ongoing

  • Applications operate reliably with minimal disruption
  • Support requests decrease over time as systems stabilize and users become proficient
  • System configurations, documentation, and training materials remain current
  • The role proactively identifies system improvements and optimization opportunities
