This is a hands-on leadership role with significant opportunity for growth and potential for partnership.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage tax compliance and planning engagements for a diverse portfolio of mid-market clients across various industries.
  • Provide tax advisory services to clients including corporate reorganizations, estate and succession planning, and cross-border tax matters.
  • Review complex tax returns and deliver high-quality tax solutions that align with client objectives.
  • Collaborate with partners and other managers to ensure exceptional client service.
  • Mentor and manage a team of tax professionals, ensuring ongoing development and performance management.
  • Stay up to date with current tax legislation and industry trends to ensure clients receive relevant and effective advice.
  • Work closely with the firm’s partners on strategic initiatives and business development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation in good standing.
  • Completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive tax and management experience in a small to mid-sized public accounting firm, ideally with a mid-market focus.
  • Proven hands-on experience in both compliance and advisory engagements.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the desire to grow within the firm
