This position will report to BBEC, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global.

To perform this job successfully, the Project Manager must be able to perform each Essential Duty successfully. The requirements listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.

  • Ability to read and interpret required documents and drawings, specifications, write reports and correspondence and speak effectively before a group of customers, or employees of an organization

  • Manage multiple tasks, produce quality work and meet deadlines
  • Ten years practical experience as an electrical contracting Foreman and/or Project Manager in a commercial/industrial environment or relevant experience.
  • Must be able to manage team effectively and positively taking the project from beginning to end per the Job contract.
Essential Duty Requirements:Project Coordination:
  • Meet with estimator and jobsite foreman to go over all aspects of job including but not limited to: wiring methods to be used, initial jobsite schedule; man hours- broken out per task, any special equipment or material required on the project.
  • Submittal Approvals: Make sure the material we intend to use is approved by the engineer and making sure this is distributed to all affected parties.
  • Develop weekly goals and milestones for the foreman to follow. Use these with documentation to measure and track labor costs.
  • Up-dating Job Cost Projections: Track budgeted cost to actual cost - report significant differences to the appropriate parties.
  • Update Manpower Requirements: BBEC uses a three week look ahead schedule for the staff meetings and the master schedule is projected for the entire project. (Update in conjunction with the jobsite schedule/conditions.)
  • Responsible for making sure material, tools/equipment, and information is made available to the foreman/jobsite in a timely manner.
  • Jobsite Safety: During jobsite visits making sure all personal protective gear is available and being used properly.
  • Scheduling all start-ups with the manufacturers and owners along with all the proper identification as required.
  • Procuring all permits and inspections as required for the project.
  • Communication with owners, Construction Manager's, General Contractor's, other Sub- contractors, and most importantly, our own work force making sure everyone is on the same page.
Project Manager Position Results Job Description:
  • Make sure punch list is complete and coordinating what they are asking to have done is actually in the BBEC contract. (If not, it is an extra and usually a condition of receiving final retainage, so this must be done right away).
  • Make sure Operation and Material manuals are completed and accurate- also typically a condition of final retainage and must be done right away.
Estimation:
  • Some estimation required on smaller jobs.
  • Change Order Preparation: Verifying that it is a change to the Contract and conferring with the Estimator and Foreman to develop the change order.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
