Location: New Jersey
Salary Range: $120,000 - $147,000/year ($58-$71/hour)

About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Contracts Manager to oversee all contract-related activities for our electrical contracting projects. This strategic role requires a detail-oriented professional who can navigate complex contract negotiations, ensure compliance, and mitigate risk while supporting successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate, draft, and administer contracts for electrical contracting projects
  • Review and analyze contract terms, conditions, and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage contract modifications, change orders, and claims
  • Coordinate with project managers, legal counsel, and clients on contract matters
  • Maintain comprehensive contract documentation and filing systems
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure timely deliverable completion
  • Resolve contract disputes and facilitate conflict resolution
  • Prepare and review subcontractor agreements and purchase orders
  • Conduct contract closeout procedures and final reconciliation
  • Advise management on contractual risks and opportunities
  • Ensure adherence to insurance and bonding requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Legal Studies, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in contract management, preferably in construction or electrical contracting
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (AIA, ConsensusDocs, EJCDC)
  • Understanding of electrical construction processes and industry standards
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or paralegal certification

  • Knowledge of Davis-Bacon and state labor law compliance
  • Risk management or insurance background
