HARTING Technology Group is hiring a Senior Operations Project Manager to join our expanding team at our Elgin, IL facility. As a key driver of our infrastructure growth, you will spearhead industrial capital projects from initial groundbreaking to full operational launch. Your role is the critical link between ground-up construction, facility setup, and supply chain integration. You will orchestrate vendors and cross-functional teams to transform multiple sites into high-performance manufacturing environments that uphold HARTING's standards of innovation and quality.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects of low to moderate complexity within the designated region, according to the GPMO-Operations Standard. These projects will include capacity expansion. The role emphasizes operational execution and support across project management activities ensuring and overarching project objectives.

We partner directly with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Distribution partners for standard product, designed-in value-added products, and Product Development initiatives.
In this role, you will lead and manage highly complex and strategically significant projects within the designated region, according to the GPMO-Operations Standard. This role also focuses on overseeing critical interdependencies across multiple projects to ensure all overarching portfolio objectives are achieved.

To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on the individual projects, the dependent work packages/milestones and their contribution to overarching objectives.
- Efficient use of resources across various projects and prioritization of projects based on strategic objectives.
- Lead and manage high-complexity and strategically critical projects that are of significant importance to HARTING. (e.g., including capacity expansion focus projects, A-projects) using both classic and agile methodologies, in accordance with the GPMO-Operations Standard (incl. risk management, stakeholder management, project communication etc.)
- Collaborate with the Project Sponsor to define clear project objectives within established framework conditions.
- Frequent monitoring and steering of project schedule, budgets and resources to ensure successful deliveries in accordance with project objectives.
- Frequent reporting of the project status to key stakeholders, including Regional and Global PMO Operations Team, Project Sponsor and Steering Committees as needed.
- Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams with the necessary skills and competencies to achieve project goals.
- Ensure accurate time tracking (working hours) by all project team members in compliance with GPMO-Operations guidelines.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the GPMO-Operations Standard by providing feedback to the Regional and Global PMO Operations Team.
- Intercultural competencies to manage a cross-cultural team or communicate to cross-cultural stakeholders
- Utilize the designated project and portfolio management software tools as defined by the GPMO-Operations Standard.
- Use the BI Tool (part of the GPMO-Operations Standard) to report the project status.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or comparable specialized training preferred. Note: Extensive relevant experience and proven expertise may substitute for the required degree
- 5+ years experience in Industrial Engineering preferred
- Classic & Agile Project Management experience
- Experience in Capacity Expansion a plus
- Project/Portfolio Management Software Tools
- BI Tools
- Open to 10%-20% International travel

HARTING USA offers an attractive total compensation package and employee benefits, including:
Compensation:
- HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.
- Competitive base salary: $100,000 - $135,000 (commensurate with experience, subject to change dependent on physical location).
- This role is eligible for a 5% discretionary annual bonus.
- 21 days PTO (Paid Time Off) to start - quickly earn more PTO as you stick with us (36 days max).
