Job description

Lopes Orthopedic Clinic Assistant

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Lopes Orthopedic Clinic Assistant to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's Health Center department.

Purpose within the Organization:

The purpose of this position is to assist the Lopes Orthopedic Clinic (LOC) staff in greeting and checking in patients to the facility. This position will help with scheduling, payments, and daily cleaning duties.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

  • Checks in patients for use of the facility.
  • Assists with scheduling patients and receiving patients.
  • Help enforce all policies and procedures related to usage of the LOC.
  • Mange the checking out of therapeutic equipment from the clinic.
  • Helps Clean and maintain order of the LOC front desk area and other parts of the clinic.
  • Assist in marketing and coordinating programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work 4-8-hour shifts at a time.

Equipment Used and Responsibility:

  • MS Office

Desired Qualifications:

  • CPR/First Aid Certified
  • Required to work 3-4 shifts a week
  • Outgoing, hardworking, and courteous
  • Healthcare related field of study desired
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once

Grand Canyon Education is committed to a student first policy.
Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
