Compensation: $110K

Position Overview
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for engineering, supporting, and evolving a highly cloud centric network infrastructure, with a primary focus on AWS and Azure networking and complementary responsibility for enterprise Cisco and Fortinet environments. The role emphasizes cloud design, implementation, and operations, along with automation via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and effective monitoring and troubleshooting across a hybrid network footprint.
Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud & Hybrid Network Engineering
  • Design, build, and maintain cloud network infrastructure in AWS and Azure, including routing, gateways, transit gateways, route tables, and security groups.
  • Architect and support hybrid connectivity between cloud environments and physical office locations, ensuring secure and reliable WAN connectivity.
  • Participate in and lead upcoming major infrastructure upgrades, all performed in?house.
  • Fortinet & Cisco Infrastructure
  • Manage and optimize Fortinet security solutions, including FortiGate firewalls (physical and virtual) and Fortinet Analyzer (critical requirement).
  • Support enterprise routing and switching using Cisco technologies, with strong Layer 2/Layer 3 fundamentals and WAN connectivity expertise.
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation) to deploy and manage network infrastructure consistently and efficiently.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of automated deployment and configuration practices.
  • Python scripting is a plus, but not a core requirement.
  • Monitoring, Visibility & Troubleshooting
  • Leverage Fortinet, SolarWinds, New Relic, and other monitoring platforms to maintain visibility into network performance and health.
  • Use tools such as Wireshark for deep packet analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Assess the current monitoring approach and recommend or implement best practices to improve observability and incident response.
  • Operations & Support ("Keep the Lights On")
  • Monitor, maintain, and stabilize the cloud network environment on a day?to?day basis.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues spanning AWS, Azure, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Own incident resolution and root cause analysis for network?related issues.
  • Work independently while collaborating with engineering and operations stakeholders as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 7+ years of hands?on network engineering experience (more experience welcomed but not required).
  • Strong, practical experience with both AWS and Azure cloud networking (AWS?heavy environment).
  • Demonstrated expertise with Fortinet solutions, particularly FortiGate firewalls and Fortinet Analyzer.
  • Solid background in Cisco routing/switching and WAN/hybrid network design.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation) in production environments.
  • Proficient in using monitoring tools (SolarWinds, New Relic, Fortinet) and Wireshark for diagnostics.
  • Comfortable owning network environments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
  • FinTech sector experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Location & Work Arrangement
  • Strong preference for candidates based near the Philadelphia office.
  • Secondary preference for candidates near Atlanta
