Job Description

Position Summary:  This position is responsible for maintaining the IT department systems including workstations, servers, backup systems, phone systems, and all associated peripherals as well as providing end-user support.  The Systems / LAN Administrator is expected to proactively coordinate with IT management, staff and vendors to ensure maximum uptime of all systems.  

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related discipline and 2 years of experience or the equivalent experience of at least 5 years.

·         Microsoft 365 certification(s) a plus.

·         Proficiency in the configuration & maintenance of Windows 10 desktops & laptops, and peripherals such as printers, scanner/copiers, etc.

·         Proficiency with MS365 Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, etc. as well as other standard business applications such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Adobe, etc.

·         Basic knowledge of Azure cloud services and administration.

·         Basic knowledge of the maintenance of Windows 2019 servers.

·         Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN & wireless networking. SonicWall experience a plus.

·         Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

·         Excellent communication at skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

·         Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

·         Ability to perform/prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

·         Ability to work office hours and flexible 24/7 on-call on a scheduled, rotating basis.

·         Must have own transportation and ability for occasional travel on company business.

 



Requirements

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

 

·         Configure, install, maintain & properly dispose of all system hardware and software for Windows 10 desktops & laptops as well as peripherals.

·         Maintain inventory of all company IT assets.

·         Provide end-user support for hardware, peripherals & software such as MS365 Office suite applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as other third-party software & web applications.

·         Manage & maintain company phone systems.

·         Manage & maintain network backup systems and data.

·         Manage & maintain anti-virus / anti-malware solutions. (Malwarebytes & TrendMicro)

·         Conduct basic maintenance & updates on Windows Server 2019 servers.

·         Provide after-hours coverage for end-user support on a scheduled, rotating basis.

·         Periodically travel to remote offices for maintenance of hardware & software.

·         Act in a backup capacity for LAN administrator position.

Other duties as assigned in support of overall IT functions
