POSITION SUMMARY
- Responsible for the coordination and completion of application projects. . Identifies and coordinates improvement opportunities, enhancements and redesign in order to accomplish greater efficiency. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Provide advanced level support and supports other analysts as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Recommendation, coordination, testing, consulting, and completion of application enhancements and improvements using application tools documenting throughout the process.
- Holds a primary role in projects during system/application implementation. Plans and coordinates tasks associated with system/application efforts.
- Provides consultative and support services to users of the system.
- Supports other analysts as needed by using effective strategies for optimal application content delivery.
- Increase operational efficiency by leveraging new technologies through automation.
- Develops and maintains working relationships to enhance ability to meet goals and users' objectives.
- Recommend appropriate maintenance strategies to ensure uninterrupted systems usage.
- Designs and builds templates and tools that will be used as the foundation for entering information into the application/system. Ensures systems are configured to be consistent with vendor recommendations and uses to maximize the benefit to the patient and/or the staff using the system.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, users, vendors and leadership by actively listening, respectful correspondence and discussions and timely follow up
- Serves as interface between the Information Technology Department and supporting application vendor for application questions.
- Plans and executes small scale projects by developing implementation plans, organizing meetings with stakeholders, determining project scope, and managing assigned resources/tasks.
- Participate in on-call rotation, as required by Director
- Follows best practice standards in support of information systems for which the employee has assigned responsibility.
- Participates in mandatory ITS meetings and complies with ITS policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Complies with explicit instructions of ITS leadership regarding the operation of technology systems under the employee's responsibility.
- Requires occasional off-hours work on weekends, holidays, and overnights.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
  - Minimally Required:
    - A High School diploma is required.
  - Preferred:
    - A master's degree is preferred.
- Licensure/certification:
  - Minimally Required:
    - Vendor required certification in good standing (or proficiency if vendor accepts) for applications/modules employee is assigned to support. If not currently certified (or proficient) employee will have 6 months from their DOH (Date of Hire) or DOT (Date of Transfer) into a position that requires certification (proficiency).

    - A minimum of 5 years of experience using computer based system(s) in a healthcare setting or in an analyst related role is required.

    - Advanced knowledge of a variety of applications as they relate to operational flow in a healthcare setting

    - Must possess superior interpersonal and communication skills. Good problem solving skills.

    - Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. Has appreciable latitude for independent action or decision. Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. May supervise project tasks of others. Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving with limited or no direction. Ability to have organizational focus, and be result oriented. Initiate collaboration within the team. Participate in on-call rotation, as required by Director. General schedule Monday-Friday. Occasional requirements to cover special events/staff requirements during hours outside those generally worked maybe necessary. Ability to transport self to and from off-site locations. Periodic overnight travel for education.
