Brand Communications Manager

The Davis Elen team is looking for a high energy, marketing communications and PR professional with an unwavering focus on business outcomes to own the development of hyper-local communications plans for a global QSR brand. The candidate will also support the execution of the national and local marketing plans within the assigned geographies, to profitably build the business, while concurrently focusing on improving reputation, image and brand positioning within each local community.

As a Brand Communications Manager, you will help support strategy, build campaigns and execute initiatives that change the way audiences think about our client. This position will help run plans at the local level, while managing a fast-moving environment to drive our clients’ desired outcomes.

Key stakeholders include local QSR franchisees, restaurant management, corporate field office staff, agency teams and partnering vendors.

Major Responsibilities/Primary Functions

• Through the oversight of the department SVP and Senior Director, the candidate will manage the day-to-day running of their assigned account(s) and client SOWs within their respective geographies
• Assumes role of primary day-to-day client contact and plan execution
• Problem solves day-to-day account issues as needed
• Maintains constant communication with department lead and support team
• Demonstrates micro and macro knowledge of the client’s business by continuous research of brand, its categories and competitors
• Maintains the ability to successfully propose and fulfill advanced strategic concepts and initiatives
• Influences and develops the highest quality work by sharing knowledge of the client/business/brand and demonstrating strong judgment
• Helps to devise short term and long-term brand, consumer and community engagement strategies in partnership with lead strategic planners and creative partners
• Manages the communication between Davis Elen, client and our partners/vendors/community institutions to ensure seamless execution
• Can manage both large and small budgets

Qualifications, Distinguishing Characteristics and Special Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years account or in-house experience required. Public Relations, Creative or Advertising agency experience preferred
• Deep understanding of account management and plan execution processes (discovery, definition, creative, deployment, postmortem)
• Lives the digital ecosystem and understands how social, mobile, experiential, search, etc. all co-exist
• Able to effectively interpret and educate on measurement reporting, whether regarding standard media, PR or social
• Rallies behind consumer and community engagement strategies and pushes clients(external) and creatives (internal) to explore new projects
• Capable of writing a thoughtful deck dissecting a client’s plan while also highlighting current trends, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment
• Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with co-workers at a variety of levels, across many disciplines
• Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills required
• Strong financial understanding of budgeting and estimating
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
• A demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees
• Highly organized with a keen sense of attention to detail
• Exceptional initiative and follow through skills
• Multicultural consumer and D&I knowledge strongly preferred
• After hours work and overnight traveling is required (up to 50%)
