DeliLu is a well-respected 14-year old agency with more than 60 employees that are committed to meeting the developmental, physical, emotional, social, educational, intellectual and spiritual needs of at-risk youth being served. We provide a therapeutic and social environment in which youth and their families can address issues to maximize the potential for their independence and success.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Therapist to be responsible for creating an environment of trust and compassion that allows our youth ages 12-19 to grow and develop. To fully assess the diverse needs of all the youth assigned, to provide psycho-social support, life skills, and to link youth with needed resources. The Therapist will ensure that all individual treatment plan needs are being met and all services are provided in accordance with the DeliLu mission statement, Value Statement, Code of Conduct and Policies and Procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive and trauma-informed mental health assessments; and client treatment plans to align with assessments
- Develop and maintain positive communication and working relationships with referring agencies.
- Maintain positive, open communication with colleagues, clients and community agencies.
- Adhere to and enforce Agency policies and State regulations with staff and clients.
- Complete DMH documentation within the allotted time frames
- Maintain required documentation, records, and reports as outlined by agency policies and procedures
- Provide accurate and timely reports as required by the Agency and the Department of Mental Health.
- Take responsibility for any serious incidents and all reporting procedures.
- Responsible for referrals to outside agencies and other resources that meet the needs of clients and families as needed.
- Attend mental health, CFT-Child and Family Team, and treatment team meetings.
- Provide on-call emergency services and respond to on-call as per the Agency’s standards.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with staff, birth and Foster Parents, children, clients, and community resources.
- Maintain client and case confidentiality per state, federal and Agency standards.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences.
- Participate in weekly clinical supervision meetings
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education and Experience - Master's degree in a social science field plus at least four (1) years of experience in a behavioral health field and one
- License or Certification - BBS Licensed as LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Psychologist
- Valid California Driver's License. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL and clean driving record. Meets all compliance requirements of federal, state, and country regulations by periodic sanction checks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/Hazards
- Ability to visually and audibly assess client's behaviors and needs. Ability to drive to and from client’s in company vehicles.
- Hazards include verbally/physically Assaultive clients. Blood and Body Fluid Contact (Category I)
