As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician at our Newark, OH facility, you willbe responsible forthe Maintenance of extrusion equipment and associatedprocesses..
This role offers a starting pay between $38.37 and $40.71per hour (paid bi-weekly). This is a full-time role that includes annual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with companymatch, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, parental leave and medical, dental and vision coverage (no waiting period).
Major Responsibilities
Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following all Covestro standard operating procedures
Repair andmaintainprocess control systems, programmable logic controllers, HMI programs, laboratory instrumentation, instrumentation systems, and electrical controls
Repair andmaintainmachinery and mechanical equipment, such as extruders, pelletizers, screeners, vacuum pumps, heat exchangers, electric motors, and compressors
Troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems, cooling towers and chillers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Troubleshoot PLC, HMI programs
Program control systems
Monitor project start-ups
Design electrical systems and instrument control loops
Evaluate instrument and electrical hardware
Communicate with manufacturer's field engineers as needed
Initiate purchase requisitions for parts and equipment
Repairs or replaces defective parts, using hand or power tools
Performs preventive maintenance on all systems and equipment
Trouble shoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Perform basic pipefitting tasks
Dismantles devices to gain access to and for removal of defective parts; using hoists, cranes, handtoolsand power tools
Lubricates and cleans parts
Coordinates and schedules projects with maintenance, production,laboratoryand storeroom
Inspects used parts todeterminechanges in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
Installs and removes machinesutilizingvarious rigging devices
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
Repairs andmaintainsHVAC systems, coolingtowersand chillers
Repairsbarrel cooling systems (steam)
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience in Maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation and pneumatic control systems
Required to take WorkKeys Test and receive qualifying test scores on the following assessments: WorkplaceDocuments(6), Applied Math(6), Applied Technology(5)and Graphic Literacy(5)
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in Electromechanical Technology or closely related degree and 2 yearsof experience in Maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation andpneumatic control systems
Experience using Allen Bradley equipment
Knowledge & Skills:
Obtain/maintaina valid forklift license
Ability to read and understand diagram, sketches, operation manuals
Ability tooperateWindows-based computer systems as well as ability to use SAP system to perform maintenance and engineering tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
