4. Company Overview

A manufacturing facility operating on a 24/7 basis in Graniteville, SC, specializing in industrial production and processing systems.

5. Position Summary

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician will become a subject matter expert in a specific production department, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment to maximize production uptime. Technicians will be assigned either day or rotating shifts and will perform both reactive maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance activities. This role requires extreme flexibility to support a wide range of maintenance activities across the facility.

  • Extreme flexibility to support a wide range of maintenance activities
  • Ability to work either day shifts or rotating shifts
  • Quick troubleshooting and repair capabilities to minimize equipment downtime
  • Capability to perform periodic scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration
  • Willingness to become a subject matter expert in a specific production department
7. Primary Functions
  • Install, test, and release equipment in partnership with Engineering team
  • Maintain equipment for industrial production, industrial processing, pipeline distribution systems, and conveyors
  • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment to maximize production uptime
  • Perform periodic scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on all manufacturing equipment
  • Record maintenance activities in CMMS
  • Inspect parts for damage and wear
  • Test and observe running machinery
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, technical drawings, work orders, and machine error messages
  • Comply with all safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
8. Required Skills
  • Safety compliance and adherence to all safety regulations
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience
  • Networking and communications expertise: EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, and DeviceNet
  • AC Drives, Motors, Encoder, and Resolver troubleshooting
  • Calibration of flow, level, pressure, and temperature devices and loops
  • Knowledge of bearings, conveying systems, gearboxes, equipment rebuilds, and repairs
  • Familiarity with automation and distributed control system architectures
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledge
  • Rotating equipment maintenance experience
  • Ability to read and use blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, grinders, welding equipment, and testing equipment
  • Experience operating hoists and lifts
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
