Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (A/B/C)

About the Company

  • 575,000 sq. ft. facility with approximately 400 associates

About the Role

  • Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (positions open on all shifts in plant 1)
  • Type: Permanent, full-time
  • Location: Spartanburg, South Carolina
  • Multiple roles open: facility is expanding to reach 5 technicians per crew in Building 1
  • Pay Range: $26.47 - $42.35 DOE.
  • Technicians support maintenance operations across two buildings on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule
  • Weld tech positions are being consolidated into the multi-craft structure; assembly duties will expand to include glue and rivet applications, spot welding, and resistance welding (no laser welding)

Ideal Candidate / Role Requirements

Must have:

  • One or all of these 3 are required:
    • Electrical skills
    • Hydraulics experience: highest priority; hardest skill to source locally
    • Mechanical skills: required
  • Must be willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days and nights) and accept potential shift reassignment based on union seniority
  • Must demonstrate hands-on engagement and curiosity during the facility tour portion of the interview

Nice to have:

  • Welding and hand fabrication: strong asset; a current gap on the team
  • PLC and controls knowledge: nice to have
  • Automotive industry background not required; fast learners from other industries are welcome

  • Multi-Craft B
    • Perform all aspects of Multi-Craft C with increasing PLC programming responsibility. Successful score on the Multi-Craft Test that falls in the Multi-Craft B range. Successful score on the Multi-Craft Test that falls in the Multi-Craft B range.
  • Multi-Craft A
    • Perform all aspects of Multi-Craft B. Project management, complex PLC programming. Experience working with and maintaining servo motors; able to work with and on communication protocols such as switches and ethernet.
