Castaway Waterfront Restaurant & Sushi Bar is now looking for a Food Expeditor!

Our restaurant is serving Breakfast, Lunch & Happy Hour and Dinner, serving seafood, LOTS OF SUSHI, raw bar, full liquor bar, elegant wine list and 32 beers on tap. Recently featured on Diners Drive Ins and Dives, Discovery Channel, Coastal Living Magazine, Nat Geo Food Traveler and much more.

Summary:

Our Food Expeditor is responsible to ensure a fast, smooth meal service from our Kitchen to our Guest to with the highest quality and standards. This is a position requires the individual to be both an independent decision-maker and a team player simultaneously. He/she is also responsible for assisting wherever necessary to keep the flow of the service moving.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the flow between the kitchen team, the servers and the guest,
• Ensures that every service is delivered to the utmost satisfaction of the guest,
• Prepare tables for meal service with silverware and condiments,
• Ensures that the restaurant atmosphere is clean and friendly,
• Assemble orders in the kitchen when they arrive,
• Garnish plates when they are ready,
• Run plates from the kitchen to the tables
• Refill guests' drinks,
• Clear tables when guests leave,
• Monitor and organize inventory in the stockroom,

• Ability to handle high stress environment,
• Excellent communication and organizational skills,
• Empathy and willingness to help in a warm and friendly way,
• Willingness to be part of our tight-knit team,
• Driven by challenging, fast paced environment,
• Motivated and passionate personality,
• Restaurant experience is a must,

• Lift up to 30 pounds,
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods
• Ability to stay and work in a hot kitchen environment.
