We are currently seeking an Engineer I to join our Aviation Design Team located in Knoxville, TN.

Working closely with professional engineers, the Engineer I assists in the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to suit our individual client project needs. At CHA, our Engineer I works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements. 

The Engineer I aids in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks, and performs simple calculations and engineering design using the standards established by federal, state, and local regulations. The Engineer I solves routine problems by applying defined procedures and attends field assignments when appropriate.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or other related engineering degree is required
• EIT certification is preferred
• No prior experience required; however, prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework preferred
• Strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field required
• Familiar with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
