Essential Elements

The Revenue Manager is integral to the success of the Hospitality division's Revenue Management team. The position will be responsible for the preparation of revenue reports that will assist the General Managers and additional related departments in implementing the hotels' yield strategies. Manager must be highly attentive to detail, have excellent computer skills and be comfortable with multiple technical systems, very knowledgeable of Excel and Macros, and able to multi-task while also working quickly to stay on a fast-paced schedule.

As Revenue Manager, you will:
  • Implement revenue management operations, procedures and best practices.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Optimize and expand distribution partnerships (OTA's Local Websites).
  • Provide local market knowledge and insight for the hotel managers and owners.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with levels of staff at the client hotel.
  • Oversee revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotel and manage day-to- day yield operations.
  • Perform competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends.
  • Create and maintain a 13-month rolling demand calendar.
  • Create and develop pricing strategies in conjunction with each hotel.
  • Provide weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons.
  • Manage and oversee strategy for all third party distribution channels.
  • Responsible for assessing, analyzing and pricing group business strategies.
  • Analysis of overall monthly hotel performance and provide summary report with recommendations to improve long-term strategies.
  • Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity.
  • Oversee and audit the standards and operations of the reservations process.
  • Liaison with hotel Sales and Marketing departments as a team.
  • Conduct quarterly property performance review and develop strategic and tactical action.
  • Responsible for best practice standards to include: competitor analysis; environmental scanning; market modeling; distribution revenue management; inventory availability by channel; pricing control and new pricing concepts.

**Depending upon the qualifications of the successful candidate, the hiring manager may choose to fill this position at a higher level within the revenue management career ladder**

Minimum qualifications

Education & Experience

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, hospitality and tourism, or other applicable field of study; AND
  • Minimum two (2) years of direct Hotel Revenue Management experience.
  • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Highly computer literate with a high-level command of Excel.
  • Knowledgeable of hotel technology: PMS, Channel Manager, GDS, CRS, Extranets.
  • Business Development DNA and commercial minded.
  • Strong sense of need for achievement of goals and success.
  • Sound ability and knowledge to develop standards of operations and strategic processes.
  • Good analytical and numeric skills for fast data crunching.
  • Capacity to read situation, understand environments and respond accordingly.
  • Capable of prioritizing between revenue generating actions and time-consuming tasks with low yield impact.
  • Ability to work across all levels and functions of the business under own initiative in a highly pressured environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, adaptive, influencing, and supervisory management skills.
  • Mentality of client service and taking responsibility beyond direct duties.
  • Willingness to travel and ability to interact professionally with other cultures.
