Psychiatric Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine medical office tasks and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly and efficiently.

Compensation will be based on talent and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, and document all information in patients chart.
• Secures patient information and maintains patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records
• Entering diagnostic and procedure coding
• Complying with legal regulations and HIPPA rules
• Provide instructions to patients as instructed by psychiatry providers.
• Work with clinical team to help with phone calls and providing feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
• Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to psychiatry providers.
• Ability to compose letters for patients under physician instruction.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Strongly encourage applicants with intentions to continue education in nursing, physician assistance, etc programs
• Previous experience in medical office or facility to include documentation and assistance with medications
• Familiarity with medical billing procedures and EMR
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Leadership skills will help in this position

  • Typing speed minimum of 60 words/minute

• Successful Completion of Medical Assistant Program
• E-scribing Experience
• Administering Injections
• Medical Prior Authorization Knowledge
