Job description

Senior HVAC Design Engineer / Lead Technician
We are seeking a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with extensive hands-on design expertise to lead the development of complex Industrial HVAC and Process Exhaust systems. This role is designed for a technical leader who can operate with a high degree of independence and manage design packages for state-of-the-art manufacturing environments.
The Impact You Will Make
In this role, you will be the primary driver for the design and routing of industrial building mechanical systems. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-precision
design packages for advanced facilities, ensuring all systems meet rigorous performance and code standards.
Key Responsibilities
• System Design: Lead the layout, routing, and design of industrial HVAC and specialized process exhaust systems.
• Documentation: Develop comprehensive P&IDs, plans, sections, and construction details from concept through detailed design.
• Project Leadership: Execute design packages independently with minimal supervision, exercising expert technical judgment.
• Coordination: Act as a technical point of contact for contractors, clients, and internal engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
• Quality Assurance: Apply expert knowledge of U.S. Mechanical Codes (IMC) to ensure the accuracy and quality of all deliverables.
Required Qualifications
• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) License is required.
• Software Mastery: * 8+ years of professional AutoCAD experience.
• 4+ years of professional Revit experience.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years specifically in industrial building mechanical design.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the International Mechanical Code (IMC) and U.S. standards.
• Execution: Demonstrated ability to lead and independently execute complex design packages in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Attributes
• Specialized Environment Experience: Prior work in semiconductor fabs, cleanrooms, data centers, or other advanced manufacturing facilities.
• Education: Technical or Associate's degree in a relevant engineering or design discipline.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written).
