Main responsibilities:

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Finance & Accounting - AI Champion to accelerate adoption of AI and automation capabilities across Finance and Accounting teams. This role is ideal for a finance or accounting professional who brings strong business acumen, senior leadership level communication skills, and advanced experience enabling business use cases with enterprise AI, analytics, and automation tools, with tools such as Microsoft Copilot or Google Vertex AI. 
The AI Champion partners with Finance and Accounting leaders and business teams to identify high-value opportunities, guide teams in effective use of company AI and automation tools and ensure adoption delivers measurable business outcomes. This is a business-facing role focused on enablement, advisory, and change leadership. 

  • Partner with Finance and Accounting leaders and business teams toidentify, define, and prioritize AI and automation use cases aligned with business goals.
  • Translate business challenges into clear problem statements, success metrics, and enablement plans.
  • Advise leaders and teams onuseof enterprise AI tools, including where automation, analytics, or process improvement is the best fit.
  • Bring senior-level experience enabling and scaling business use cases using one or more enterprise AI platforms, such as Microsoft Copilot or Google Vertex AI, complemented by strong capabilities in advanced Excel, data analysis, SQL, data visualization, and automation platforms, with a focus on practical adoption, governance, and measurable business value.
  • Facilitate working sessions, workshops, and leadership discussions to drive alignment and adoption.
  • Enable teams through education and hands-on support with Albertsons AI capabilities.
  • Define and track value metrics such as productivity gains, cycle-time reduction, cost savings, and quality improvements.
  • Partner closely with IT teams on AI platform enablement
  • Support change management activities including communications, training coordination, and feedback collection. 

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, ora relatedfield.
  • 5 plus years of experience in Finance and/orAccountingroles.
  • Demonstrated experience applying or enabling AI, automation, analytics, or digital tools in a Finance or Accounting environment, including advanced experience partnering with business leaders to identify, pilot, and scale use cases using Microsoft Copilot or Google Vertex AI.
  • Proven ability to work directly with senior leadership stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of core Finance and Accounting processes, with excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong data literacy and comfort working with metrics and performance measures.
  • Experience in transformation, continuous improvement, or internal consulting roles.
  • Background in shared services or large enterprise environments.
