Payroll Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll in an accurate and timely fashion
• Receive timesheets from departments, audit for accuracy, and input time into the payroll system
• Maintain accurate records of all holiday, vacation and sick time (PTO) to determine if time off has been earned
• Verify payroll reports prior to the run of the bi-weekly payroll run
• Print bi-weekly payroll checks and audit for accuracy prior to distribution
• Respond quickly to all payroll-related problems
• and much more.

Qualifications:

Education - High School graduate or equivalent

Experience - A minimum of (2) years of accounts payable/payroll, preferably in a health care setting, with a working knowledge of personal computers, payroll/accounts payable systems, Microsoft Excel or any equivalent combination of education, training or experience in a business office environment.

Additional Requirements - May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing

• Working knowledge of FLSA regulations
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounts
