Job description

Join Our Team as the Digital Communications Strategist
The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking an experienced and skilled Digital Communications Strategist to perform advanced professional communications and marketing work by leading the Town's digital communications strategy and developing and managing digital communication initiatives.
What You Will Do
  • Develops and manages the Town's social media strategy and digital advertising;
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates the Town's comprehensive digital communications strategy;
  • Oversees editorial planning for digital communications to ensure consistent messaging across all Town communication channels;
  • Monitors online conversations and public sentiment to identify communication opportunities and emerging issues;
  • Evaluates and improves the user experience (UX) across the Town's digital communication platforms;
  • Prepares reports and recommendations that support data-driven communication decisions;
  • Works with departments to maintain a cohesive and professional digital presence;
  • Coordinates digital communications supporting Town projects, programs, meetings, special events, and organizational priorities;
  • Collaborates with various departments to enhance digital services and improve public access to information

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or closely related field
  • Five (5) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in managing social media strategy and digital communications is required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Available to work a varied schedule
