POSITION OVERVIEW

The Specialist, Digital & Channel Marketing is a hands-on marketing execution role responsible for bringing the Minuteman marketing plan to life across social media, paid digital, in-store, and local store channels. Reporting to the Manager, Brand & Marketing Planning, this person manages day-to-day social content and paid support, develops creative for digital and in-store use, and helps ensure marketing programs are clear, on-brand, timely, and executable at store level.

The role also provides dedicated tactical marketing support for branded locations and individual Minuteman stores. Working closely with Operations, Merchandising, Loyalty & CRM, and field leadership, the Specialist evaluates local opportunities, recommends practical executional plans, carries approved tactics through implementation, and measures results to help drive traffic, sales, and customer engagement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Social Media & Paid Digital

  • Manage the day-to-day content calendar and create, schedule, and publish content for branded and Minuteman-owned social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
  • Manage boosted posts and other paid digital campaigns within approved budgets, including paid social, search, display, audience targeting, placement, flighting, and basic optimization.
  • Monitor comments and messages and partner with Operations to address store-specific questions or issues appropriately.
  • Track reach, engagement, traffic, and paid campaign performance and recommend changes based on results and business priorities.

Creative Development & Production

  • Develop creative for in-store and digital platforms, including social graphics, digital ads, in-store signage, digital screens, promotional materials, and local marketing assets.
  • Adapt campaign creative and write concise customer-facing copy across sizes, formats, and store needs while maintaining Minuteman brand standards and message consistency.
  • Prepare and traffic final creative files, ensuring materials are accurate, properly formatted, and delivered on time.
  • Coordinate with outside designers, printers, photographers, agencies, and other vendors when specialized production support is required.

Local Store Marketing

  • Evaluate store-specific marketing opportunities and requests, including grand openings, competitive activity, traffic or sales opportunities, local events, community partnerships, and other market-specific needs.
  • Recommend an executional plan for local marketing opportunities based on the business objective, trade area, target customer, budget, timing, store execution requirements, and ability to measure results.
  • Coordinate approved local marketing plans with Operations, store leadership, vendors, and community partners, localizing social, paid digital, creative, and other marketing materials as appropriate.
  • Develop repeatable local marketing tools, templates, and best practices that stores and field leaders can use consistently.

Measurement & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Maintain simple tracking and recap reporting for social, paid digital, and local marketing activity, focusing on clear business results and actionable recommendations.
  • Use performance data to identify what is working, what should change, and where marketing investment can be improved.
  • Partner closely with the Manager, Brand & Marketing Planning to ensure execution aligns with the overall marketing calendar, brand direction, priorities, and approved budgets.
  • Work with Operations, Merchandising, and Loyalty & CRM to support business priorities and customer targeting while keeping ownership of loyalty communication with the appropriate team.
  • Support other priority marketing projects and initiatives as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-6 years of experience in digital marketing, social media, local marketing, or marketing communications, preferably in retail, convenience, grocery, restaurant, or QSR environments.
  • Hands-on experience managing social media content and paid digital campaigns, including boosted posts, audience targeting, campaign setup, performance monitoring, and social scheduling tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop marketing creative using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar design platforms.
  • Strong writing and editing skills for short-form customer communications, including social, digital advertising, and in-store messaging.
  • Comfortable using basic marketing analytics to evaluate engagement, reach, clicks, traffic, and campaign results and translate them into practical recommendations.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, store requests, deadlines, and stakeholders at the same time.
  • Ability to work effectively with Operations and field leaders, visit stores as needed, and translate store-level business needs into clear, executable marketing actions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.
