We work collaboratively across engineering fields to deliver safe, reliable, and innovative solutions that support some of the most advanced fabrication facilities in the United States. At Micron's Clay, New York site, you will help support a historic expansion that is shaping the future of memory technology.
As a Design and Construction Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, construction, and ongoing improvement of site-wide electrical systems. This is an opportunity to lead impactful projects, partner with multi-functional teams, and help build the electrical infrastructure that supports groundbreaking semiconductor manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform field inspections during construction to ensure compliance with specifications, scope, schedule, and budget
  • Evaluate electrical systems for safety, reliability, and performance and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Lead electrical design efforts and oversee the development of construction drawings for facility projects
  • Ensure constructability and successful project execution within and around operating manufacturing environments
  • Partner with facilities and manufacturing stakeholders to support operational and project objectives

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of facilities engineering experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment or similar industry
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering design and/or project management
  • Experience with electrical power distribution, substations, building power systems, lighting, UPS, and generator systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects while balancing safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP certification
  • Direct experience designing electrical systems for semiconductor fabrication facilities
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent advanced experience
  • Experience working with Agentic AI tools to assist with design and verification

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$98,000.00 - $200,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
