A premier Sarasota firm seeks a Construction and Design Attorney with 5 to 7 years of experience, Florida Bar Board Certification in Construction Law, and a portable book of business. This is a strategic hire to strengthen the firm's construction and design practice serving developers, owners, contractors, and design professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel clients on construction contracts, project delivery methods, risk allocation, and design professional agreements
  • Handle construction disputes, claims, mechanic's liens, payment issues, and defect litigation
  • Negotiate and draft AIA, ConsensusDocs, and customized construction and design agreements
  • Advise on regulatory compliance, licensing, and project-related risk management
  • Develop and grow client relationships, referral networks, and the practice's overall presence

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • 5 to 7 years of construction and design law experience
