Overview:

  • Leads restaurant regional growth by coaching, supporting and influencing franchisees, driving restaurant completion timely and at the highest quality.
  • Relationship owner for all construction and planning activities across Franchisee communications, identifying opportunities and setting priorities for the Design and Construction Teams in the Region, and regional Wendy’s Leadership representative for the Design and Construction teams.
  • This person will serve as the regional design and construction leader and point of contact with the franchisee, not only sharing company’s design, construction tools, procurement updates and processes, but by connecting with the franchisee at the correct level of leadership driving understanding and identifying the individual markets and franchisees opportunities.  This person leads a support team covering the LAC Market.
  • Manages and oversee the regional restaurant development process, for new builds and reimages, from planning and design to construction and post construction, ensuring timely completion of the Wendy’s restaurants ensuring strong brand awareness and compliance.
  • Lead strategic regional and global initiatives around the broader business needs, process enhancement, KPIs improvement, construction cost savings, FF&E supply chain, design and others.
  • Accountable for the accuracy of the company’s tracking systems dates working on accurate T-minus with franchisees and managing all design and construction milestones accurately and timely.
Responsibilities
  • Overall project schedule management and reports for the region – By T-Minus management of project pipeline and biweekly projects’ progress update reports. Guide and influence franchisee on timely completion and accurate reporting. Manage and enter Project milestones into Wendy’s project management system.
  • Relationship owner with franchisee & Wendy’s Real Estate, Design and Construction teams – Work with the franchisees’ construction, design and operations teams during the construction and post construction phases, scheduling and facilitating the necessary meetings.
    • Manage the overall project workflow with meetings as key preestablished milestones
    • Assist the Wendy’s design team on the submittal process for approval of alternate materials
    • Ensure adherence to Wendy’s standards and design approved by the Wendy’s design team.
  • Cost management and VE support – Work with the franchisee construction team on budget reviews and value engineering support.
    • Prepare and upload budget forms to the Wendy’s document control software reports with detailed CAPEX cost information.
    • Ability to analyze FZ CAPEX cost and benchmark with competitors in the region.
    • Overall budgeting and value engineering support services for Wendy’s current and upcoming designs.
    • Identify market and franchisee specific value engineer opportunities, develop solutions and implement them at market and regional level.
  • On site QA/QC – Perform onsite or virtual construction and post construction reviews to ensure completion per the approved drawings, on schedule and per the brand’s quality requirements. Ability to capture corrections and inform opportunities to franchisee and internal design team.
  • FF&E Supply chain support – Assist on the management of the international supply chain and procurement of additional suppliers for equipment, finishes and furniture to increase supplier pool.
  • Franchisee support activities – Support preparation of construction and project management manuals, processes, workflows and perform regional Franchisee’s training sessions.
  • Brand support and Strategic initiatives – Assist on the preparation and update of brand standard guidelines and strategic regional and global projects to support the broader business

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Travel: 50%

Pay Range: $105,000.00 - $184,000.00 Annually

What we expect from you
  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Construction management, Architecture or Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on F&B construction management.
  • International business experience is required.
  • Revit and Autocad knowledge.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Power Point and Visio.
  • Proficiency in the main language of the region.
  • Proficiency in English & Spanish language (spoken and written).
  

Expected Work Location (Field): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at Wendy's Restaurants or to other field locations as designated by the Company. When not working at a Wendy's location, you are permitted to work remotely. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs. #LI-Onsite

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. The target annual bonus for this role is 20% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
