Wylander Solutions, a recruiting company specializing in the construction industry, is hiring a Project Manager/ Carpenter for a full-service disaster restoration company located in Reading, PA.  

Compensation and Benefits:

·       $25-$32/hr. (based on experience)

The Project Manager/Carpenter leads teams on construction or remodeling projects, overseeing daily tasks, ensuring quality work, and managing project timelines and resources. Additionally, this candidate should possess practical carpentry skills, including but not limited to: framing, drywall, painting, windows, doors, trim, cabinets, paneling, siding, roofing, flooring, and hardware. This person should have their own tools. 

 

Responsibilities:

·       Ability to follow job scope and read blueprints to complete work on time and within budget

·       Ability to manage reconstruction projects

·       Respond to property damage emergency calls

·       Plan, organize, and manage crews and subcontractors

·       Ability to install and/or construct on the job site as needed

·       Instruct and direct laborers and other construction trade helpers

·       Complete any necessary paperwork to record all job notes and utilize proprietary software if required

·       Attend all appropriate company meetings

·       Attend regular company-sponsored training sessions

·       Additional duties required as needed

Requirements:

·       10+ years of construction knowledge

·       2+ years’ experience as a team lead/ project manager, preferably in the restoration/construction industry

·       Ability to manage schedules and subcontractors

·       Proper tools are needed to assist when necessary on job sites

·       Possesses exceptional organizational and planning skills (detail-oriented person)

·       Ability to recognize and solve problems independently

·       Strong communication and negotiation skills

·       Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable
