Position Summary...The Manager, Forecasting & Predictive Analytics serves as the strategic forecasting expert for Walmart Marketplace Operations, responsible for developing accurate workload forecasts and advancing forecasting capabilities through predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and data-driven insights. This role partners across Operations, Product, Finance, Marketing, Data Science, Business Analytics, and Workforce Management to transform complex business signals into actionable forecasts that enable informed business decisions.
This position provides thought leadership and strategic influence across the organization, helping leaders anticipate demand, mitigate operational risks, and optimize business performance through advanced forecasting and analytics. What you'll do...Forecasting Strategy
  • Lead forecasting strategy across Walmart Marketplace Operations.
  • Develop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-range demand forecasts.
  • Continuously improve forecast accuracy through statistical modeling, trend analysis, and predictive analytics.
  • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to evaluate the impact of changing business conditions.
Predictive Analytics
  • Design and implement predictive models to identify emerging demand trends and operational risks.
  • Analyze key business drivers including seasonality, seller growth, marketing campaigns, product launches, policy changes, automation, and AI initiatives.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to improve forecasting methodologies and business outcomes.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and executive communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive strategic decisions without direct authority.

  • Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field.
