Job description

Title: Workday HRIS Analyst

Overview:
Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. Global Power produces weld assemblies, fabricated metal buildings, and large complex assemblies of power equipment.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Workday HRIS Analyst to support our enterprise-wide Workday implementation and long-term HR systems strategy. This role will work closely with HR, Payroll, IT, business stakeholders, and our implementation partners throughout deployment, testing, go-live, and post-production optimization. This position requires prior hands-on Workday experience. The ideal candidate understands Workday functionality, HR processes, reporting, and system administration, and can contribute immediately in a fast-paced implementation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the full lifecycle of the Workday implementation, including configuration, testing, validation, and deployment activities
  • Partner with implementation consultants and internal stakeholders to design and optimize HR business processes
  • Configure and maintain Workday business processes, reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and security assignments
  • Support data conversion, data validation, and ongoing data integrity efforts
  • Execute and coordinate testing activities
  • Troubleshoot Workday issues and collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and vendors to resolve them
  • Assist with release management, enhancements, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Create documentation, training materials, and end-user support resources
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and system optimization

Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of HRIS experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on Workday experience
  • Experience supporting or participating in a Workday implementation, optimization, or administration environment
  • Strong understanding of HR systems, workflows, and data structures
  • Experience with:
  • Workday reporting
  • Calculated fields
  • Business processes
  • Security administration
  • Testing/UAT
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, IT, and external partners
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with one or more Workday modules: Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence
  • Experience with EIBs, integrations, or data conversion activities
  • Prior experience in a large-scale implementation environment
  • Experience supporting post-production enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
