Job description

The Workday Data Consultant - AMS (Application Managed Services) is a Workday professional with experience supporting data, reporting, and operational processes within a managed services environment. As a member of the AMS team, you will provide ongoing support, maintenance, enhancement, and optimisation of Workday solutions, helping clients maximise the value of their Workday investment after go-live.

This role is suited to individuals who enjoy working across multiple client environments, solving data-related challenges, supporting business users, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of data within Workday.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Workday Data specialist, providing post-production support and guidance across multiple client engagements.
  • Support day-to-day AMS activities, including incidents, service requests, enhancements, and problem resolution.
  • Partner closely with clients to understand business requirements and provide effective data-focused solutions.
  • Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues impacting Workday processes and reporting.
  • Support data loads, data maintenance activities, and tenant management using Workday tools and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Work with clients to improve data quality, cleanse inaccurate records, and support ongoing governance initiatives.
  • Assist with data extraction, transformation, and loading activities to support business and operational requirements.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data analysis tools to support client decision-making.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend long-term solutions for recurring issues.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and contribute to service enhancement initiatives.
  • Participate in trend analysis and proactively identify opportunities to optimise client processes and data quality.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Workday data management best practices.
  • Contribute to internal assets, accelerators, tools, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Participate in on-call support and holiday coverage as required.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, MIS, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting ERP, HCM, Financial Management, or SaaS applications in a production support or managed services environment.
  • Experience with Workday is essential
  • Workday certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with data conversion, data loading, data reconciliation, and data quality activities.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and working with large datasets.
  • Experience creating reports, analysing data, and supporting business users with reporting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, or data analysis tools is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data issues and identify root causes effectively.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced managed services environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within global delivery teams.
  • Eligible for SC Clearance - you must have been a UK resident for the last five years and be legally entitled to work in the UK
