Who We're Looking For
Lifetime Home Remodeling is seeking a detail-oriented Permit Specialist to manage the full permit cycle-from initial intake through final issuance and closeout-ensuring residential projects comply with local ordinances, zoning laws, and building codes. This is a fast-paced coordination role within the Operations team that requires strong organization, accuracy, and a customer-first mindset. You'll support multiple products and jurisdictions while helping elevate our compliance practices and deliver an elite customer experience.
This role reports to the Permit & Compliance Manager.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Permit Processing: Pull all required permits for each project based on city and county requirements across multiple products; follow SOPs and daily task expectations
  • CRM Documentation: Upload all required permit documents to the CRM-receipts, permits, and final inspection results-cleanly and accurately
  • Cost Tracking: Update project cost tabs to reflect permit costs in the customer's project
  • Inspection Coordination: Coordinate mid and final inspections; partner with Project Managers to confirm install status and assist with inspection scheduling
  • Permit Closeout: Close out permits after final inspections pass; ensure permits are closed prior to expiration
  • Auditing & Compliance: Audit county sites for open permits and ensure proper closure through city/county authorities
  • Resource Maintenance: Maintain and continuously improve a detailed permit resource site
  • Expense Reporting: Maintain accurate expense reports and submit to accounting weekly
  • Updates & Escalations: Provide daily and weekly updates, issues, and support needs to the Permit & Compliance Manager
  • Jurisdiction Standards: Update permit guidelines and policies for each jurisdiction (including multi-state requirements) in Salesforce for accuracy
  • Quality Control: Maintain permit life cycle tracking and ensure documentation standards are met throughout
What You Need
  • Experience: 2+ years replacement windows experience preferred; 2+ years managing processes preferred
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), CRM systems, and other company tools; comfortable using a smartphone for business applications
  • Core Skills: Strong customer service, organization, and documentation habits; able to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
  • Work Style: Self-motivated, professional, works well in a team setting, and adaptable to department needs
  • Flexibility: Willing to work extended or irregular hours-including weekends/holidays-when needed
