Position Overview:
As a Permit Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the permitting process across all active projects. This role serves as a key operational resource, coordinating between internal project teams, municipal agencies, and external stakeholders to ensure permits are obtained in a timely and compliant manner.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate permitting activities across multiple active projects, ensuring adherence to permit schedules and timely submission of complete permit packages.
  • Track permit status, supplemental information, approvals, and as-built staking sheet submissions while maintaining accurate permitting records and documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with municipal, county, and state agencies regarding permit applications, inquiries, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and collaborate with project engineers, designers, and internal teams to resolve permit-related issues and minimize project delays.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical permitting files and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and accessible.
  • Provide regular permit status updates to project managers and leadership, identifying potential risks and recommending solutions to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in permitting, construction coordination, project administration, or a related role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, site plans, and technical documents.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience in the telecommunications, utility, or infrastructure industry.
