At CTSI, a New Charter Company, we are seeking a Windows Server Escalation Specialist in Frisco, TX (in other companies this person could hold the title of Server Engineer, Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Specialist) to deliver server infrastructure support, deployments, and client solutions.
This is an onsite role in Frisco, TX with less than 25% travel.
In this role, you will support client server environments, Azure and on-premises infrastructure, collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions. You will perform deployments, migrations, troubleshooting, configuration, and ongoing maintenance while proactively identifying opportunities to improve system performance, availability, and security. You'll also serve as a trusted technical resource, helping clients navigate infrastructure challenges and implement best practices.

To be successful in this role, you should have strong Windows Server expertise, virtualization experience, and excellent client communication skills. You should be comfortable managing multiple client environments, adapting to evolving technologies, and troubleshooting complex technical issues in a fast-paced consulting environment. Success also requires a proactive mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

General Job Duties

  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced server and infrastructure issues across on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments

  • Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy to support client environments

  • Deploy, configure, and migrate server infrastructure for new installations and client projects

  • Install and test servers, networking equipment, and related infrastructure components

  • Troubleshoot DNS, networking, and server connectivity issues

  • Install, configure, and support server-based applications and business software

  • Document work performed and communicate technical updates with clients and internal teams

  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an Associate's degree with relevant technical certifications

  • 2+ years of experience supporting and administering Windows Server environments

  • Experience providing technical support in a client-facing or consulting environment

  • Working knowledge of VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across server infrastructure, Active Directory, and Microsoft technologies

  • Must be able to pass a CJIS background check

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and switching

  • Experience planning and executing server migrations from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure

  • Microsoft Azure Administrator for Windows Server Hybrid certifications (AZ-800, AZ-801, or other related certifications) preferred

Compensation

The compensation is expected to start at $25.00/hr. Our offer will be determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.
