A Windows Server administrator is responsible for installing software, updates, and security patches to a Microsoft Windows Server. Additional responsibilities of the Windows Server administrator are to maintain the computer servers on the back end, monitor server performance, and perform system backups on a regular basis, pending the needs of the business. You may also be expected to maintain, update, and upgrade the hardware and software of the computer systems. You are also responsible for providing technical support to other administrators, technical staff, and customers.
