Consumer Credit Administrator

At Oregon State Credit Union, we are passionate about creating financial solutions that make lives better. As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a Consumer Credit Administrator to provide strategic leadership, governance, and oversight of our consumer lending credit function. This role will help shape the future of consumer credit administration by ensuring sound underwriting practices, strong portfolio performance, and effective risk management strategies that support sustainable growth.

As the Consumer Credit Administrator, you will partner closely with Consumer Lending, Risk, Finance, and Operations leaders to align credit policy, pricing, and risk strategies with business objectives while maintaining strong credit quality standards. You will play a key role in developing and refining credit policies, monitoring portfolio performance, guiding credit decisioning strategies, and fostering a balanced credit culture that supports both risk management and exceptional member service.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Credit Risk & Portfolio Management: Demonstrates deep expertise in consumer credit, underwriting, and portfolio management. Ability to analyze portfolio performance, identify emerging risks, conduct stress testing and scenario evaluations, and develop effective risk mitigation strategies. Skilled at balancing risk management objectives with responsible loan growth and member needs.
  • Strategic Leadership & Decision Making: Ability to develop and implement credit policies, underwriting standards, and governance frameworks that support organizational goals and risk appetite. Exercises sound judgment when reviewing complex credit requests and policy exceptions and effectively influences lending and decisioning strategies across the organization.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Possesses exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and provide meaningful recommendations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, build strong partnerships, and influence decision-making at multiple levels within the organization.
  • Experience & Education: Five or more years of consumer lending, credit risk, or credit administration experience. Experience managing or influencing consumer credit policy and portfolio performance. Strong knowledge of consumer lending regulations and compliance requirements. Experience with consumer direct lending, indirect lending, unsecured lending, and credit card portfolios. Familiarity with automated underwriting systems and credit decisioning tools. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Relevant certifications or advanced education are a plus.
