How you will enjoy your day:

Manage safe, effective and innovative exercise programs for guests. Will assist Fitness Staff in all areas relating to sessions/treatments and guest satisfaction. Work closely with Spa Director on daily activities. Monitor gym and movement studio. Provide a safe, clean, motivating and nurturing environment for services that exceed guest expectations.

Work Performed:

  1. Manage Wellness staff schedules.
  2. Monitor Fitness and movement studio equipment and facilitate maintenance or replacement as needed.
  3. Innovate, create and assist with new wellness programming.
  4. Creating activity schedules.
  5. Working on the floor, interacting with guests and helping with equipment during shift.
  6. Maintain wellness supplies as needed including inventories and purchase orders.
  7. Maintain customer service standards.
  8. Maintain overall cleanliness of the Fitness and movement studio.
  9. Promote Wellness offerings to guests.
  10. Promote classes and private bookings.
  11. Perform and facilitate classes, sessions and programs as needed.
  12. Arrange staff meetings and training as needed.
  13. Payroll
  14. Understanding and actions based on financial budgets.
  15. Develop operating procedures as required and monitor staff performance as necessary.
  16. Recruit, hire, develop and train wellness team members.
  17. Assist management with creating an environment of teamwork.
  18. Knows all safety and emergency procedures and accident prevention policies
  19. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities and Authorities:

  1. Upholds the resort commitment to hospitality.
  2. Ensure all assigned areas are maintained at a high level of standard.
  3. Manage schedules and activities through necessary systems.
  4. Acts as MOD as required.
  5. Follow safety first policy in work areas and with chemicals and equipment.
  6. Clean and store equipment properly.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED, and/or equivalent work experience. Bachelor degree preferred. National Fitness certifications. Ability to confidently lead, motivate a group and clearly communicate. Self motivated ability to work with little supervision. Must be dependable. CPR and First Aid certification.

Physical Requirements:

20% Sitting

80% walking, standing & bending

Lifting/Carrying up to 50 lbs.

Hearing and Manual dexterity

Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
