About the role:

This role supports the delivery of student wellbeing services through a holistic and collaborative approach that enhances the student experience, builds community and promotes student resilience and retention.

A key element of this role is to provide timely and appropriate frontline student support from trauma-informed, strengths based and student-centered approaches. This can include crisis support, liaison with and referral to internal and external stakeholders and support networks and general advice and guidance about navigating UC policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance, support and advice to students and staff of the University to enhance student engagement, wellbeing and success.
  • Deliver frontline student wellbeing support using trauma-informed, strengths-based and student-centred approaches across in-person, phone and virtual interactions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of sector initiatives and programs that support student wellbeing and success, with a particular focus on students experiencing multiple and intersecting vulnerabilities.

As this is a student facing role, the work is required to be on campus.

Relevant tertiary education and experience in social work, psychology, or relevant field would be advantageous.
