Weekend RN, Nursing Home/Hospital
Registered Nurse (RN) – Full Time (Day Shift)

Weekend RN – Hybrid Nursing Home/Hospital (Days & Nights) Pay Range: $38–$42/hr

About the Role

We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing home team. In this role, you'll deliver high‑quality, planned nursing care, support physicians and interdisciplinary team members, and ensure exceptional patient experiences. While primarily based in the nursing home, you will also cross‑train and float to the hospital as needed to support continuity of care across settings.

Weekend RN Hybrid Option
  • Day Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 6AM to 6:30PM

  • Night Shift: Saturday& Sunday, 6PM to 6:30AM

  • Hybrid coverage across Nursing Home + Hospital

What You'll Do
  • Promote teamwork to enhance patient experience and quality of care

  • Deliver nursing care based on resident/patient needs

  • Assess and document patient status accurately

  • Carry out treatments and physician orders

  • Assist with patient positioning and transport

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment, instruments, supplies, and procedures

  • Record treatments, notes, and updates in patient charts to ensure clear communication

  • Adapt to new ideas, workflows, and care approaches

  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and drips as ordered

  • Complete patient discharges per physician direction

  • Participate in in‑service training, quality assurance activities, and continuing education

What You Need
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Valid Illinois RN license

  • CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

  • ICU experience preferred, but not required

Physical Demands
  • Ability to speak and understand English

  • Ability to lift and turn patients of all ages and sizes

  • Ability to transfer OR patients from gurney to bed

  • Ability to support families of critically ill patients

  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians

  • Ability to work alongside physicians during critical events (e.g., Code Blue)


Compensation details: 38-42 Hourly Wage
