Job description

Job Title: Pool Monitor (Seasonal)
Pay: $20$22 per hour

Schedule:

  • SundayThursday: 12:00 PM 10:00 PM (pool closes at 9:00 PM, cleanup from 9:0010:00 PM)
  • FridaySaturday: 12:00 PM 11:00 PM (pool closes at 10:00 PM, cleanup from 10:0011:00 PM)
  • Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays

Season Dates:
Memorial Day through approximately 12 weeks after Labor Day

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Pool Monitor to oversee daily operations at a residential pool facility. This is a monitoring and security-focused role, not a lifeguard position. The Pool Monitor will be responsible for enforcing community rules, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring the facility is properly opened and secured each day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor pool area to ensure compliance with all community rules and regulations
  • Provide a professional and friendly presence for residents and guests
  • Observe for safety concerns, hazards, or inappropriate behavior and respond appropriately
  • Open and close the pool facility each day, including securing gates and equipment
  • Perform light cleaning duties, including removing trash and tidying the pool area
  • Complete end-of-day cleanup and ensure the facility is left in good condition
  • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management
  • Follow established procedures in the event of an emergency and complete required documentation

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Reliable and punctual with the ability to work assigned schedule
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to make sound decisions and enforce rules in a professional manner
  • Previous experience in customer service, security, or a similar role is a plus
