Under the general direction of the Pool Manager and the Director of Facilities, Pool Utility staff are responsible for promoting a relaxing and enjoyable Club experience for all members and guests by ensuring readily available clean towels are provided throughout the day. Pool Utility continually pick up wet towels and clean surrounding areas. Pool Utility must uphold and enforce all policies set forth by Woodside. Responsible for maintaining good working relationship with all Lifeguards and Pool Desk Staff.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Responsible for continually maintaining clean towels at all approved stations, lounge chairs and pool areas
- Responsible for towel presentation; maintains all towel stations fully stocked
- Regularly collects soiled wet towels and ensures that they are dropped off in the laundry area for cleaning
- Maintains all pool areas as prescribed by Woodside: umbrellas, towels, chairs, etc.
- Must make sure all unoccupied chairs are uniform and reset the exact same way
- Prepares and monitors all pool areas ensuring they are always "photo ready"
- Picks up trash around pool area
- Empties trash cans and keeps water stations fully stocked
- Sweeps up trash as needed
- Reports any maintenance/emergency issues as they arise
- May at times be asked to support special events within Club
- Moves throughout the shift with purpose; no personal cell phone usage during shift
- Complies with Clubโs employee handbook manual, departmental policies and procedures and with all applicable federal and state employment laws
- All other duties as assigned
Job Standards
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to: Education/
Education/Experience:
- Must be a minimum of 15 years of age and physically able to lift 75 pounds or more on a regular basis
Skills:
- Able to physically endure lifting, stooping, walking, standing for entire shift
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Special Requirements:
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Ability to work in hot temperatures throughout shift
- Ability to work special events, promotions and other demands of the position which required early morning, late evenings and weekend hours
- Constantly walking, bending, reaching, pulling, and stretching
