The front desk receptionist main responsibility is being the first impression and contact point for our residents and guests. The front desk receptionist is a direct reflection of the image that we wish to portray. A professional appearance and demeanor are required.


Responsibilities:


· Answering incoming calls

· Resident doctor’s appointments; Scheduling, changing, confirming.

· Arranging resident transportation to and from appointments.

· Creating daily appointment schedule and distributing copies

· Monitoring room lights and emergency exits.

· Print daily condition report for previous day and file

· Maintain postage meter, order funds as needed.

· Receive, separate and distribute incoming mail.

· Any task requested by your immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

Intellectual-

· Must be responsible, consistent and able to meet commitments

· Must have good judgment and know when additional assistance is required.

· Must be able to multi-task and be able to organize and structure responsibility.

· Must be able to efficiently work independently

· Must have excellent time management skills and utilize “down” time efficiently.


Social-

· Good communication skills are necessary, if you are not a people person; this job is not a good match for you.

· Must be able to treat people who need assistance with kindness and respect, regardless of the patient’s mood or your mood.
