Job description

Summary:

The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for managing and organizing front-desk patient check-ins for initial and follow-up research visits. This position requires a patient-facing professional who represents the site location as well as the company as a whole. This role also supports clinical research operations by assisting with participant flow, maintaining study visit schedules, and ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for research participants, sponsors, and site visitors.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients.
  • Answer questions regarding site location, services, programs, fees, payments, and registration.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Verify participant identification and ensure completion of required sign-in documentation.
  • Notify research staff of participant arrivals and assist with visit flow coordination.
  • Maintain an organized reception area and ensure a professional research environment.
  • Assist with visitor logs, sponsor/monitor sign-in, and vendor check-in processes.
  • Support site administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and document management.
  • Coordinate with clinical research coordinators, investigators, and site leadership to support daily operations.
  • Perform clerical work.
  • Disseminate information to research staff.
  • Coordinate the daily administration of doctors, staff, visitors, and patients at the research site.
  • Answer phones and respond to in-person patient inquiries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and planning skills required.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
