Summary of Job Duties:
The Web Experience Manager serves as the primary webmaster and digital experience lead for the Graduate School and International Education (GSIE), overseeing the unit's primary website and all associated sub sites. This position works collaboratively with multiple constituencies across GSIE to design, develop, implement, support, and manage web delivered content that is accurate, accessible, user centered, and aligned with institutional standards.
The Web Experience Manager is responsible for evaluating, prioritizing, and managing web and digital content needs and feature requests from diverse stakeholders. In this role, the incumbent provides strategic guidance and recommendations on web best practices, user experience, accessibility, analytics, and emerging digital trends, and supports constituencies in maximizing the effectiveness of their web presence. The position develops new content areas and site features as needed and ensures ongoing quality, compliance, and usability across GSIE web properties.
This role requires regular collaboration with content owners, technical partners, and campus stakeholders, as well as the ability to balance hands on technical work with consultative and advisory responsibilities.
Regular, reliable, and non disruptive attendance is an essential function of this position, as is the ability to build and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer or information technologies or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least two years of experience developing websites
  • Experience working in the following technologies: HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript
  • Web Design experience
  • Experience identifying hardware/software interface problems
  • Experience with interactive debugging and testing and analyzing failures
  • Familiarity with current web technologies such as HTML5, XHTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fluency with WCAG 2.x AA
  • User Experience Certification
  • Experience with Slate and Slate Deliver
  • Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps)
  • Two or more years of experience as a web manager
  • Knowledge of search engine optimization and content strategy
  • Knowledge of emerging web trends such as GEO
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and cross-platform analytical reporting
