What are Web Managers?

Web Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and overall performance of a website or group of websites. They coordinate with designers, developers, and content creators to ensure that sites are functional, up-to-date, and aligned with organizational goals. Their duties often include managing web content, monitoring site analytics, troubleshooting issues, and implementing website improvements. Web Managers also ensure websites meet security standards and provide a good user experience.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Web Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Web Manager, you need expertise in website management, content strategy, SEO, and analytics, often supported by a degree in web design, computer science, or related fields. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Google Analytics, and basic HTML/CSS is typically required. Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills set outstanding Web Managers apart. These abilities are crucial for ensuring optimal website performance, user experience, and alignment with business objectives.

What Is a Web Manager?

A web manager is responsible for maintaining, designing, and developing a business website, based on the field or specifications set by a client. Your duties include monitoring, assessing, and reporting on online content performance, ensuring a website functions and software is up-to-date, and handling a range of online marketing projects from search engine optimization to social media practices. You may also develop content and monitor web traffic. Since you oversee staff, communication skills are vital. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of proven on-the-job experience for this career.

What are the main challenges a Web Manager faces when coordinating with cross-functional teams?

Web Managers often collaborate with marketing, IT, design, and content teams to ensure the website aligns with business goals and user needs. One common challenge is balancing differing priorities and timelines from each department, which requires strong communication and project management skills. Additionally, translating technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders and ensuring consistent branding across all web assets can be demanding. Successful Web Managers are proactive in setting clear expectations, facilitating regular meetings, and fostering an environment of open feedback.

Job description

The Allegro team is united by a clear purpose-advancing technologies that make the world safer, more efficient, and more sustainable. With over 30 years of experience in semiconductor innovation, we bring that purpose to life across every part of the business-from breakthrough product development and customer success to how we show up for each other and the communities we serve.

The Opportunity

As our Web Manager, you will lead the strategy and day-to-day management of Allegro's global digital presence. Our website is the primary way customers interact with us, and you will ensure it effectively showcases our leadership in markets like electric vehicles (xEV), automated driving (ADAS), and AI data centers. You will be responsible for the entire user journey, from making sure our technical solutions are easy to find through Generative AI platforms and search engines to ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience once a user arrives on our site.

This is a high-impact role where you will bridge the gap between marketing goals and technical execution. You will own the roadmap for allegromicro.com and our online commercial strategy, ensuring the site is fast, localized for our global audience, and easy for engineers to navigate. By balancing long-term digital strategy with operational excellence, you will help Allegro reach more customers and provide the self-service tools they need to design the next generation of sustainable technology.

What You'll Do

  • Website Strategy & Roadmap:Lead the technical direction and growth of allegromicro.com. You will partner with our Customer Engagement team to ensure the site and customer portal are easy to use, technically sound, and helping us meet our business goals.

  • AI & Search Visibility: Go beyond basic SEO to ensure our technical data is structured so that Generative AI platforms and search engines can easily find and recommend Allegro products to engineers.

  • Global Content Localization & Governance:Manage our global web presence, including thegovernance, quality standards, and optimizationof automated, AI-driven translation services. You'll ensure our international customers have a high-quality, localized experience that meets their specific regional needs.

  • Frictionless UX & Conversational Discovery:Use data and visitor behavior to make the site easier to navigate. You will build a "self-service" roadmap that allows engineers to quickly find what they need using natural language search and other modern tools.

  • Conversion & Data-Driven Optimization:Design and lead A/B testing programs to optimize conversion paths (CTAs and user flows). Translate complex web performance data (GA4/HubSpot) into clear, actionable reports and recommendations for leadership.

  • Project & Partner Management:Manage the website's "to-do" list and serve as the main point of contact for our external web developers and agencies, ensuring projects stay on track and meet our quality standards.

What You'll Bring

  • 5-8 years of experience in web management, digital operations, or web project management, specifically within a B2B technology or semiconductor environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.

  • Deep experience managing enterprise Content Management Systems (Sitecore preferred). You should be comfortable working with modular content and modern web structures.

  • A strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web architecture, with the ability to translate marketing requirements into clear technical requirements for development teams.

  • A clear understanding of how LLMs and Generative AI are changing the B2B buyer journey, with an interest in leveraging AI-driven web tools or citation strategies.

  • Proven ability to manage complex digital projects and external agencies using tools like Jira to keep work organized and on schedule.

  • Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and HubSpot to track site health, monitor user behavior, and report on how the website contributes to the sales pipeline.
