Description:

We are searching for an experienced commercial HVAC sales engineer. The candidate will have extensive knowledge with rooftops, chillers, cooling towers, split systems, VRF's, MAU's and refrigeration systems

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Quoting/Estimating - Prepare accurate, detailed profitable cost estimates in a timely manner. Account for labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, and other direct costs within estimate. Be cognizant of margin and profit per estimate. Collaborate with technicians to ensure scope and needed material is captured so accurate information is sent to the customer. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with Facility Managers, Building & Business Owners using a consultative approach
  • Perform inside and outside sales activities to acquire new customers as well as project based work for current customers
  • Handle incoming leads in a timely fashion
  • Prepare and propose solutions to meet the customers needs
  • Prepare detailed job scopes that a PM can follow using a formula that will be profitable and one that follows the companies strict safety guidelines
  • Set appointments with customers for site walkthroughs and to go over quotes
  • Consult with cities & towns on engineering and permit requirements
  • Work with the PM to ensure a successful job completion as it was explained to the customer
Requirements:

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of types of HVAC systems (RTU, Split System, VAV, Ductless Splits, etc..)
  • Presentation skills
  • Proven ability to develop new business and close sales
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Computer skills such as Google Business Suite, CRM (i.e. Salesforce), etc..

Experience:

  • HVAC industry experience (5+ years)
  • Experience in B2B sales success, and/or college degree in business
  • Basic finance, accounting, and technical knowledge
  • Proficient in PC based computer systems and software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Time and activity management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing opportunities/projects simultaneously
  • Team player who works and communicates well with people at all levels
