This leadership role will be based in Indianapolis and report to the Jake Jackson. The Vice President of Project Delivery - East Region serves as the operational leader responsible for driving project execution, operational consistency, customer satisfaction, and long-term regional growth throughout the East Region. This role will initially provide direct oversight of select strategic projects while building scalable systems, accountability, and operational excellence across the region.

What You'll Do
As Vice President of Project Delivery - East Region, you will lead operational execution across the region, ensuring projects are delivered consistently, profitably, and in alignment with customer expectations while supporting sustainable growth and organizational development.
Project Delivery & Operational Leadership
  • Provide executive oversight of project execution throughout the East Region.
  • Directly manage select strategic projects during the transition and growth phase of the region.
  • Ensure projects are properly planned, staffed, and operationally prepared before mobilization.
  • Establish and implement best practices that drive consistency across Project Managers and Superintendents.
  • Develop scalable systems and processes that improve execution quality and operational performance.
  • Drive accountability throughout project teams to ensure successful project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.

Project Manager & Superintendent Alignment
  • Foster strong collaboration between Project Managers and field leadership teams.
  • Ensure alignment regarding project scope, schedules, labor planning, resource allocation, and customer commitments.
  • Develop performance expectations and accountability standards across operational teams.
  • Identify and resolve operational disconnects that impact project execution and profitability.
  • Improve forecasting accuracy and communication between office and field operations.

Customer Satisfaction & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, school districts, municipalities, and strategic customers.
  • Ensure operational execution consistently aligns with customer expectations and commitments.
  • Lead the resolution of project escalations and customer concerns.
  • Support customer retention initiatives and strengthen long-term client relationships.
  • Partner with business development and preconstruction teams to ensure seamless project transitions.

Regional Growth & Strategic Development
  • Support strategic growth initiatives throughout the East Region.
  • Assist in expanding relationships within school districts, municipal markets, architectural firms, and general contractor networks.
  • Support the development and execution of turnkey and bundled project opportunities.
  • Ensure regional growth strategies are operationally sustainable, scalable, and profitable.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term operational planning and market expansion initiatives.

Operational Accountability & Margin Protection
  • Monitor project performance and proactively identify risks impacting profitability.
  • Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to improve labor planning, production tracking, operational readiness, and change order management.
  • Implement project review processes and job readiness standards that improve operational discipline.
  • Drive initiatives focused on margin protection, labor productivity, and execution efficiency.
  • Reduce operational surprises through proactive planning, reporting, and accountability measures.

Team Development & Leadership
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and emerging operational leaders.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, communication, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Strengthen leadership capabilities across the East Region.
  • Build a scalable organizational structure that supports future growth and operational excellence.
  • Develop succession planning and leadership bench strength throughout the region.

What You Need for Success
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in construction, project delivery, operations, or a related industry.
  • Proven experience leading multiple project teams across geographically dispersed regions.
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale construction operations, project portfolios, and regional growth initiatives.
  • Experience working within design-build, sports construction, commercial construction, or related project-based environments preferred.
