REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS POSITION SUMMARY

The Vice President of Operations is accountable for the delivery of contract services within all facilities. The Vice President of Operations works collaboratively with executive corporate leadership to determine, implement, and monitor the strategic direction and plan for the company. In conjunction with executive medical leadership, the Regional Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective clinical quality oversight for the Company. The Regional Manager negotiates contract terms, amendments, extensions and bids, and must proactively identify potential business opportunities and participate in the pursuit of new contracts and clients.

REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field required. MHA, MBA, or comparable postgraduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of management experience in a healthcare setting if Master’s prepared.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of management experience in a healthcare setting if Bachelor’s prepared.
  • Multi-site management experience highly desirable.
  • Correctional healthcare experience preferred.
  • Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
  • Must be fluent in English language, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
  • Must be a supportive team member who contributes to and demonstrates teamwork and team concept.
  • Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Able to deal tactfully with personnel, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Possess leadership and supervisory ability and be able to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Serves as the liaison with key senior level clients to ensure client satisfaction and continued business opportunities.
  • Ensures regional resources are directed accordingly for implementation of contract support and personnel programs.
  • In conjunction with medical leadership, implements and systematically monitors clinical quality oversight.
  • Participates in marketing and sales process by providing operational input on staffing development, pro forma and proposal development, as well as bid conferences and presentations.
  • Markets VitalCore’s contract services on an on-going basis.
  • Responsible for public relations within the company including interfacing with government officials and organizations.
  • Reviews and analyzes the financial reports for the regions and takes corrective action as needed. Oversees regional budgeting and leads operational planning processes.
  • Implements a contract audit program and assures that audits are conducted at each site at least bi-annually.
  • Ensures that each assigned region submits timely and accurate reports to the client and Corporate Office.
  • Prepares a monthly summary of the status of the company’s operations.
  • Proactively monitors labor management and takes appropriate corrective action, ensuring staffing is maintained consistent with contract requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Provider Contracting activities are reflective of clinical/program services identified by client contract.
  • Sets strategic plan and direction for operations recruitment efforts, maintaining and monitoring effective selection and retention practices.
  • Consistently and systematically identifies high performing management personnel, actively planning for their development, promotion and succession planning.
  • Provides mentoring and coaching to direct reports in order to fortify management and supervisory skills across the Company.
  • Conducts special projects as requested by Corporate Office.
  • Serves as the VitalCore information resource during contract negotiations.
  • Ensures that each facility in assigned area is visited regularly by Regional management.
  • Attend training and meetings as required.
REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • This position is in an office environment and inside the jail facilities in Davidson County.
  • Position requires extensive travel to include extended periods of driving and overnight stays.
  • Individual is required to perform standing, walking or lifting in this position as needed for tours and audits of facilities.
