Position Overview
Position Summary: The Vice President (VP) of IT Finance will lead financial planning, forecasting, and governance across the IT organization. This position will oversee a team responsible for budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, purchasing, asset management, and accounts payable, in support of IT's strategic priorities and in alignment with the Company's financial processes and controls. This position will collaborate with Finance leadership and partner closely across IT leadership, providing oversight for the financial management of a diverse portfolio of IT projects. The VP of IT Finance will contribute to IT strategic planning with financial analysis and reporting to measure performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
A Day In The Life
IT Financial Strategy
  • Partner with IT and Finance leadership to deliver insights and recommendations based on Company and IT priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze financial performance at the project, program, department and function level to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Reporting and Budgeting
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process and coordinate across IT and Finance leadership to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Manage long-term planning process and coordinate with IT and Finance leadership to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Oversee IT program and project financials (budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting), ensuring alignment to IT long term plan, annual budget, and financial strategies.
  • Implement best practices in financial planning, reporting, and analysis to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and deliver against opportunities for continuous improvement across IT Financial processes and tools.

Leadership
  • Lead the IT Finance team in developing and maintaining financial models, forecasts, reports and budgets.
  • Develop processes, tools and resources to drive continuous improvement across IT Finance processes.
  • Mentor and develop IT Finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

You'll Come With
Education and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Licenses/Certification/Registration:
Experience:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • IT Finance or IT Project Management experience required.
  • Retail experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Proven track record of strategic thinking and practical financial acumen.
  • Highly accountable and results-driven with a focus on operational excellence and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data detail and communicate findings to executive stakeholders.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the fast-paced, highly responsive, customer-centric nature of retail.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
