Vice President of IT – MultiFacility Skilled Nursing Operator

Position Summary

The Vice President of IT is responsible for enterprise technology leadership across a growing network of skilled nursing facilities. This role oversees all information technology operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, clinical systems, and user support to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing technology environments across the organization.

The VP of IT partners directly with ownership and operations leadership to ensure technology systems support clinical care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This role is accountable for maintaining uptime, implementing enterprise technology standards, and leading infrastructure initiatives that support the organization's continued growth.

A critical responsibility of the role is leading the IT components of facility transitions and acquisitions, ensuring technology environments are fully operational, secure, and integrated into the organization at the time of takeover.

Core Areas of Responsibility

IT Operations, Infrastructure & Systems

·         Provide enterprise leadership of all IT operations across the organization.

·         Oversee system uptime, cybersecurity, networking, servers, and infrastructure across all facilities.

·         Ensure stable and secure environments for clinical platforms, EHR systems, and operational software.

·         Maintain standardized onboarding, offboarding, and security protocols across all locations.

·         Lead enterprise technology initiatives including system migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.

·         Ensure rapid response and resolution for critical IT incidents.

·         Maintain reliable end-user support and helpdesk operations across the organization.

Technology Strategy & Systems Governance

·         Develop and implement long-term technology strategy aligned with clinical and operational priorities.

·         Standardize systems, infrastructure, and technology environments across facilities.

·         Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency and security.

·         Establish enterprise IT standards and governance across all locations.

IT Vendor & Systems Management

·         Manage relationships with technology vendors including EHR platforms, hardware providers, and software partners.

·         Oversee system implementations and vendor performance across the portfolio.

·         Ensure vendor services meet operational, security, and compliance expectations.

Transitions & New Facility Integration

·         Lead all IT-related components of facility transitions and acquisitions, ensuring seamless infrastructure cutover, secure technology environments, and fully operational systems at the time of takeover.

·         The VP of IT works closely with the Director of Purchasing during transitions to ensure technology procurement, infrastructure deployment, and system activation are completed without disruption to facility operations.

Qualifications

Required

·         Senior leadership experience in IT operations or infrastructure management.

·         Experience supporting multi-site organizations or healthcare environments.

·         Strong knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.

·         Proven ability to manage complex technology environments across multiple locations.

·         Strong project management and vendor management capability.

Preferred

·         Skilled nursing or healthcare IT experience.

·         Familiarity with EHR platforms such as PCC.

·         Experience leading technology environments in regulated healthcare settings.
